Cologix, a provider of colocation and interconnection services, has acquired two data centers in Iowa from Connect Des Moines, named "DSM1" and "DSM2." The acquisition includes 12,500 sq ft in Cedar Falls and 4,000 sq ft in downtown Des Moines, with additional land purchased for expansion.
The data centers provide colocation and interconnection services. DSM1 offers 600 kW of power and connectivity to over 25 networks, while DSM2 has 1.0 MW of power and potential for 10,000 more square feet of expansion. Both facilities are connected via a diverse fiber ring, enhancing connectivity.
