Volatus and eVertiSKY collaborate to advance UAM in Chicago

Partnerships

  • eVertiSKY, a Chicago-based manufacturer of ground space and airspace infrastructure, and Volatus Infrastructure & Energy Solutions (VI&E), a Wisconsin-based eVTOL infrastructure technology developer, have partnered to establish operational infrastructure for urban air mobility (UAM) in Chicago. The collaboration will be facilitated through the UAM Living Labs initiative, which started in January 2024.

  • The partnership involves assembling aircraft charging stations at vertiport locations and combining VI&E's multimodal EV charging solutions into eVertiSKY's CityAPI Dashboard.

  • The partners expect the project to move onto the next federal, state, and local arrangements stage by Q3 2024.
