Space and Time, a decentralized data warehouse platform, has launched “Proof of SQL," a zero-knowledge (ZK) prover designed to process SQL data, on GitHub.
The solution enables developers to process on-chain and off-chain datasets without compromising trust and deliver verified results to smart contracts during transactions.
The company claims the protocol can “execute analytic queries across over 100,000-row tables in less than a second on a single GPU." Proof of SQL can also be integrated with ZK virtual machines (zkVMs) and any SQL database (such as Google BigQuery) to provide verifiable source data.
Analyst QuickTake: Space and Time has steadily improved its “Proof of SQL” protocol over the past year via a series of partnerships. In October , it partnered with Chainlink to run Proof of SQL on its nodes and provide consensus on the proof results. It then partnered with Matter Labs in March to launch its network on a zkSync hyperchain. The partnership enabled it to provide zkSync users access to its Proof of SQL solution, reportedly making zkSync the first SQL-compatible smart contract platform.
