Zeta Labs, a developer of autonomous agents capable of complex task completion, raised USD 2.9 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Daniel Gross and Nat Friedman, with participation from Earlybird VC, Kaya VC, AI Grant, Shawn Wang, Bartek Pucek, and Mati Staniszewski.
The funding will expand Zeta Labs' engineering team, host training models, and enhance the infrastructure of its AI agent, "JACE," improving its speed and reliability.
JACE is Zeta Labs' proprietary AI agent based on LLMs that can control and perform actions in a web browser like a human user. It can manage complex, multi-step tasks involving web interaction, automation, and direct communication. In an internal test, JACE reportedly showed 89% success in completing common web-based tasks when using Zeta Labs' AWA-1 model.
