Freeaim, a startup developing wearable tech for VR raised GBP 250,000 (~USD 316,700) in a pre-seed funding round led by Nikolaus Oldendorff via the Oldendorff family office.
The f unds were earmarked to facilitate the immediate launch of its VR shoe developer kit (priced at USD 5,00), scale production, and improve its hardware for a full consumer-level release expected in 2025.
Freeaim seeks to integrate its omnidirectional motorized technology into shoe soles, enabling users to walk in place in the real world. At the same time, their movements are accurately mirrored in a VR environment. The shoes will be compatible with most PC VR games and walkable environments.
