Talkiatry raises USD 130 million in Series C funding to expand behavioral health access

Funding

  • Talkiatry, a telepsychiatry company offering online psychiatric and therapy services, raised USD 130 million in a Series C funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz. Perceptive Advisors participated. Banc of California provided debt financing. This brings the company's total funds raised to USD 245 million.

  • The funding will be used to expand Talkiatry's value-based care model, which aims to enhance healthcare outcomes, reduce the total cost of care, and generate savings for patients, health systems, and partner health plans.

  • As of June 2024, Talkiatry has over 300 full-time psychiatrists across 43 states, treating conditions like ADHD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and depression. Additionally, as of the same date, it has partnered with over 60 health plans, including major insurers like UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Cigna.
