SUSE acquires StackState to provide full-stack cloud-native observability

M&A

  • StackState, a full-stack observability platform, has been acquired by SUSE, a provider of open-source enterprise solutions, for an undisclosed amount.

  • SUSE plans to integrate StackState's capabilities into its Rancher Prime container management service, providing customers with a comprehensive view of their entire stack. Additionally, SUSE intends to make StackState open-source and explore future capabilities such as cost management, issue remediation, environment optimization, and industrial IoT observability. 

  • SUSE is an open-source enterprise solutions provider specializing in Linux operating systems and Kubernetes management. According to the company, its products, such as SUSE Linux Enterprise and Rancher, power mission-critical workloads for over 60% of the Fortune 500.
