SpaceX, a space travel and launch company, launched 20 Starlink satellites using a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base on June 18, 2024, at 11:40 p.m. EDT.
The liftoff marked SpaceX's first launch after 10 days, its fifth launch for the booster, and its 61st orbital liftoff of the year 2024.
The Falcon 9's upper stage hauled the 20 Starlink satellites toward low-Earth orbit, after which the satellites will join the rest of the ~6,000 operational satellites in the Starlink mega constellation.
