Apple has delayed the launch of its Apple Intelligence technology and other AI features in the European market, citing regulatory hurdles imposed by the EU's Digital Markets Act (DMA).
The withheld features include Apple Intelligence, a suite of AI tools designed for text summarization, image creation, data retrieval, iPhone Mirroring, and enhancements to SharePlay Screen Sharing.
Apple claims that the DMA's interoperability requirements could force it to compromise the security and privacy of its products, leading to the decision to postpone the launch of these AI features in the EU.
