Camira, a global textile manufacturer and designer, has revamped its original recycled polyester fabric, X2, by incorporating a higher proportion of textile-to-textile recycled polyester, with the rest made from post-consumer recycled polyester from plastic bottles.
The refreshed X2 fabric comprises 25% textile-to-textile recycled polyester and 75% post-consumer recycled polyester originating from discarded textiles and manufacturing waste. The fabric offers 33 different color options, including 14 new hues, suitable for various spaces and applications, such as commercial, hospitality, and residential interiors. Camira reports that X2 is versatile, stretchable, fire-resistant, and offers strong abrasion performance.
