Google expands Vertex AI to include specialized third-party datasets

Product updates

  • Google has expanded the capabilities of its Vertex AI tool by integrating third-party datasets to improve model accuracy. These features aim to enhance AI results in customer services and limit misinformation.

  • Vertex AI has been enhanced with several new features: Integration with third-party datasets like Moody's and Reuters, a high-fidelity mode for accessing company databases and the Gemini knowledge bank, Vector Search expansion for hybrid search capabilities, and a dynamic retrieval feature that sources data based on prompts.

  • Google claims that these upgrades will help firms to adopt Gen AI solutions that are "enterprise-ready." The main benefits include minimizing the probability of AI models producing misleading or incorrect data, using restricted corporate databases, and refining search accuracy with a hybrid framework.
