Onehouse, a data lakehouse company, raised USD 35 million in a Series B funding round led by Craft Ventures, with participation from existing investors Addition and Greylock Partners. The funding brings Onehouse's total funding to USD 68 million.
The fresh funds will be used to accelerate product development, including enhancements to Onehouse's Universal Data Lakehouse platform. This platform provides an interoperable solution for data management across different table formats, data catalogs, query engines, and cloud providers.
Onehouse also launched two new products aimed at increasing data lakehouse performance and reducing cloud costs: LakeView, a free service for monitoring and managing data lakehouse tables, and Table Optimizer, a managed service that optimizes existing tables for faster data ingestion, ETL, and query performance of up to 10x.
Onehouse offers a cloud-native, fully-managed data service known as a lakehouse, utilizing Apache Hudi technology. This service aims to combine a data warehouse's user-friendly aspects with a data lake's expansive capabilities. Users can swiftly establish their data lakes, process data rapidly, and retain ownership in open formats, providing flexibility beyond proprietary vendor lock-ins.
