Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched support for passkeys in its Identity and Access Management (IAM) service. Passkeys are a new credential type based on public-key cryptography that can replace passwords.
With the integration of passkeys into AWS IAM, AWS customers can now use this passwordless authentication method to access their AWS resources and services. This enhances security by reducing the risk of password-related attacks, such as phishing and credential stuffing, while improving the user experience by eliminating the need to remember and manage complex passwords.
