Toyota partners with Momenta and Huawei to develop EVs with automated driving for China

Partnerships

  • Toyota has partnered with Momenta, an autonomous driving software startup, and Huawei, a technology company, to launch electric vehicles (EVs) with automated driving functions in China.

  • The partnership aims to equip Toyota's upcoming Bozhi 3X SUV, scheduled for launch in 2025, with an advanced autonomous driving system comparable to Tesla's Full Self-Driving. This system, developed with Momenta, will enable advanced driving assistance for parking, highway navigation, and urban traffic. Additionally, Toyota plans to incorporate Huawei's in-vehicle operating software in an electric sedan set for release in 2025 for the Chinese market.
