Toyota has partnered with Momenta, an autonomous driving software startup, and Huawei, a technology company, to launch electric vehicles (EVs) with automated driving functions in China.
The partnership aims to equip Toyota's upcoming Bozhi 3X SUV, scheduled for launch in 2025, with an advanced autonomous driving system comparable to Tesla's Full Self-Driving. This system, developed with Momenta, will enable advanced driving assistance for parking, highway navigation, and urban traffic. Additionally, Toyota plans to incorporate Huawei's in-vehicle operating software in an electric sedan set for release in 2025 for the Chinese market.
