Israeli startup Illumex, which provides a GenAI platform for structured enterprise data, raised USD 13 million in a seed funding round led by Cardumen Capital, Samsung Ventures, and Amdocs Ventures, with participation from ICI Fund, Iron Nation Fund, ICON Fund, Jibe Ventures, Ginossar Ventures, Today Ventures, and other angel investors.
The company plans to use the funds to advance its "Generative Semantic Fabric" platform that aims to make structured data easier for LLMs to utilize by automating the addition of a semantic layer, unifying data silos, and adding context to facilitate more reliable and relevant AI interactions.
Founded in 2021, Illumex combines GenAI, graph databases, and relational databases to create a unified semantic knowledge graph that serves as a single source of truth, aligning all data with consistent business terminology and context. The startup has onboarded several large enterprise customers, including Carson and Teva, and partnered with tech giants like Microsoft, AWS, and Google Cloud.
