SkyDrive, a Japanese developer of eVTOL and heavy-lift cargo drones, announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Saha Pathana Inter-Holding Public Company Limited (SPI) and Saha Tokyu Corporation Company Limited (Saha Tokyu).
SPI, an industrial estate developer and private airfield operator, is a member of Saha Group, a leading conglomerate in Thailand. Saha Tokyu is a joint venture company between Tokyu Group in Japan and the Saha Group.
The partnership aims to collaboratively explore use cases using SkyDrive's eVTOL in Sri Racha, Pattaya, and Phuket in Thailand. It also aims to develop the air taxi business in the Tokyu Group and aid Thailand's traffic congestion and environmental pollution through the development of Urban Air Mobility (UAM).
