Oracle launches HeatWave GenAI to simplify GenAI development

Product updates

  • Oracle has launched HeatWave GenAI, an all-encompassing cloud technology service that automates and integrates GenAI and machine learning for large-scale analytics. This new feature is available to existing HeatWave customers at no extra cost.

  • Oracle's HeatWave GenAI offers four key features: An in-database LLM for efficient AI application development, automatic vector storage for integrating AI with business documents, scalable vector processing for fast semantic searches, and HeatWave Chat for developers to ask questions using natural language or SQL.

  • Oracle claims that HeatWave GenAI's principal advantages include simple, built-in embedding models for easy creation of vector storage for unstructured enterprise content and the ability to execute natural language searches through in-database or external LLMs.
