Rantizo receives FAA approval for agricultural spray drone swarming

Industry news

  • Rantizo, a precision agriculture company that offers agricultural spray drone services through a turnkey service platform, has received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval to allow its service hub operators to handle up to three drones above 55 lbs without a third-party visual observer and during night time.

  • The granted exemption permits operations of multiple drones at once, such as three DJI T30 or two XAG P100 Pro units, without the requirement for a visual observer (VO), including conducted in dark conditions to significantly increase productivity by covering greater land area in a shorter period and provide agricultural operators with a flexible schedule to support their farmer clients better.
