Rantizo, a precision agriculture company that offers agricultural spray drone services through a turnkey service platform, has received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval to allow its service hub operators to handle up to three drones above 55 lbs without a third-party visual observer and during night time.
The granted exemption permits operations of multiple drones at once, such as three DJI T30 or two XAG P100 Pro units, without the requirement for a visual observer (VO), including conducted in dark conditions to significantly increase productivity by covering greater land area in a shorter period and provide agricultural operators with a flexible schedule to support their farmer clients better.
