Pimax announced progress for the development of its Crystal Super VR headset (to be priced at USD 1,799), which will feature more compact housing and optimized optics.
In specific, the headset's housing volume will be reduced by nearly 30%, and its aspherical glass lenses will be 30% larger for a wider field of view (FOV). The company expects to provide a working sample of the micro-OLED version of the headset by the end of July or August.
Further, the QLED version of the headset is expected to be launched first, given that it accounts for most users’ pre-orders.
