Eastman, a specialty chemical and recycling company, has partnered with Hallotex, a Spain-based fabric manufacturer, and Riopele, a fashion fabric manufacturer, to provide fabrics made from its Naia Renew fiber to ESDI Higher School of Design as part of an educational project and textile design competition aiming to promote eco-friendly fashion.
The project challenges students to create garments utilizing Naia Renew fibers, an eco-friendly material made of 60% sustainably sourced pulp and 40% certified recycled content. This resulted in the launch of EKOS, a collection created and curated by 10 third-year ESDI fashion students.
