NatureMetrics, a UK-based DNA-based biodiversity monitoring company, and Dartmouth Ocean Technologies (DOT), an oceanographic instrument manufacturer, have partnered to launch the DOT-NM autosampler.
The DOT-NM Autosampler is an autonomous system for collecting eDNA samples from marine and freshwater environments. It addresses a bottleneck in aquatic environmental monitoring by autonomously sampling eDNA over extended deployments without labor-intensive vessel-based campaigns. This solution enables safe, cost-effective, and continuous biodiversity data collection, even in remote aquatic environments.
Analyst QuickTake: Last month, NatureMetrics expanded into the APAC region with the opening of a new independent testing laboratory in West Java, Indonesia. The new laboratory allows the company to explore new projects and provide its world-leading eDNA service to new and existing clients operating in the APAC region.
