I-care Group acquires Assets and Licenses from Sensirion to strengthen market share in Germany

M&A

  • I-care Group has acquired Sensirion Connected Solutions' predictive maintenance product line and licenses for an undisclosed sum to strengthen its market share in Germany.

  • The acquisition will also enable the I-care group to tap into Sensirion’s existing customer base and to continue existing predictive maintenance strategies.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Sensirion initially entered the predictive maintenance space by acquiring AiSight for an undisclosed sum in September 2021. Based in Germany, the company offers an AI-driven machine diagnostics solution that monitors industrial machines continuously in real-time to prevent downtime and identify optimal production cycles. Notably, earlier this year, Sensirion announced it would stop its condition monitoring activities and focus on methane emission monitoring as a data-based service business.
