Recyclus partners with LOHUM to recycle lithium-ion battery

Partnerships

  • Recyclus, a UK-based subsidiary of Technology Minerals that recycles batteries, has signed an agreement with LOHUM, a manufacturer and recycler of lithium-ion battery packs, to supply black mass, a mixture of lithium, manganese, nickel, and cobalt.

  • Recyclus expects to supply black mass from its UK facility to LOHUM in India, where the materials will be reprocessed and reintegrated into the battery manufacturing supply chain.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The partnership marks a significant step toward the company establishing links to a global battery materials supply chain. In February 2024 , it partnered with a UK-based vehicle servicing chain, Servicesure Autocentres, to recycle EV lithium-ion batteries in the UK, which will be processed at Recyclus' Wolverhampton plant.
