Exter and Lallemand launch strategic joint venture to advance flavor technologies

Partnerships

  • Exter, a Dutch flavor ingredient specialist, and Lallemand, a yeast-based ingredient producer, have teamed up to launch a strategic joint venture focused on the North American market called Exter North America Inc.

  • The joint venture will leverage Exter's traditional oven-cooked savory flavors and Lallemand's yeast technology platform to craft tailored solutions that meet industry and consumer expectations in the targeted markets.

  • Analyst QuickTake: In November 2023 , Danstar Ferment AG, a Swiss affiliate of Lallemand Inc., signed a share purchase agreement with Evolva to purchase Evolva’s business operations for CHF 20 million (~USD 23.5 million). The acquisition granted Lallemand access to Evolva’s precision fermentation technology and R&D capabilities, allowing Lallemand to expand its product offerings.
