SpaceX, a space travel and launch company, is preparing for the fifth test flight of its mega rocket Starship, which is expected to take place within the next few weeks. SpaceX rolled out its first-stage booster, known as Super Heavy, to the launch pad at Starbase, South Texas.
SpaceX is establishing ' Starfactory, ' its new large manufacturing facility at Starbase. SpaceX reported that the factory could produce one Starship rocket every day.
SpaceX's Starship, at a height of 400 feet, is currently the biggest, most powerful, and completely reusable rocket ever built. Starship's previous four test flights occurred in April and November 2023, followed by March and June test flights in 2024. The Starship rocket reportedly improved its performance on each successive launch. Its fourth test was completely successful, with both Super Heavy and Ship returning to Earth for the planned ocean splashdowns.
