Travelport has launched the Content Curation Layer (CCL), an AI-powered search tool within its Travelport+ platform. Travel agencies worldwide can access CCL with a Travelport or Azure Active Directory account.

CCL uses machine learning to deliver relevant and accurate search results for travel agencies. The company claims that it sifts through billions of trip options from multiple sources, including low-cost carriers, EDIFACT, NDC, hotels, and car rentals, and provides a normalized view for comparison. A key feature of CCL is the Content Optimizer, which allows agencies to apply their own rules and customize search results.

Analyst QuickTake : CCL will allow Travelport to further differentiate itself from other GDS providers such as Amadeu and Sabre . The news also follows Travelport’s acquisition of B2B travel management platform Deem in March 2023 , aimed at integrating its NDC source content into the company’s Travelport+ platform, leveraging its position as a market leader in NDC.
