Travelport launches AI-powered search for travel agencies

Product updates

  • Travelport has launched the Content Curation Layer (CCL), an AI-powered search tool within its Travelport+ platform. Travel agencies worldwide can access CCL with a Travelport or Azure Active Directory account.

  • CCL uses machine learning to deliver relevant and accurate search results for travel agencies. The company claims that it sifts through billions of trip options from multiple sources, including low-cost carriers, EDIFACT, NDC, hotels, and car rentals, and provides a normalized view for comparison. A key feature of CCL is the Content Optimizer, which allows agencies to apply their own rules and customize search results.

  • Analyst QuickTake : CCL will allow Travelport to further differentiate itself from other GDS providers such as Amadeu and Sabre . The news also follows Travelport’s acquisition of B2B travel management platform Deem in March 2023 , aimed at integrating its NDC source content into the company’s Travelport+ platform, leveraging its position as a market leader in NDC.
