Healthcare AI company Huma Therapeutics has raised USD 80 million in a Series D funding round. New and existing investors participated, including AstraZeneca, Hat Technology Fund 4, HV Fund by Hitachi Ventures, and Leaps by Bayer. This brings the company's total funds raised to USD 300 million and its valuation to nearly USD 1 billion.
The funding will enable Huma to launch its Huma Cloud Platform, which is designed to accelerate the development and scaling of digital health solutions. The platform offers no-code configuration, pre-built modules, device connectivity, cloud hosting, APIs, AI/ML integration, and a marketplace, aiming to reduce the time for launching regulated digital health projects from years to days.
As of July 2024, Huma's technology is deployed in over 3,000 hospitals and clinics, screening over 35 million individuals with 1.8 million active users across 70 countries. Additionally, the company has doubled its revenue YoY and is targeting profitability in 2024. It claims to work with over half of the top 20 global pharmaceutical companies.
