Haiper launches new model ‘Haiper 1.5’ for video generation

Product updates

  • London-based Haiper, a developer of video GenAI technology, has launched a new video generation model, Haiper 1.5, for video generation.

  • Available on the company's web and mobile platforms, Haiper 1.5 enables users to generate eight-second clips from text, image, and video prompts, twice the length of Haiper’s initial model. It hopes to compete with Sora Runway by providing enhanced capabilities and improved performance.

  • Analyst QuickTake: This news comes just four months after the company emerged from stealth, raising USD 13.8 million in a seed round. It planned to use the funds to develop and roll out a foundation model for generating video content. Recently, there has been a notable increase in the development and release of video-generating models. Prominent companies like Luma (launching the " Dream Machine " model) and Runway (launching Gen-3 Alpha ) have contributed to this trend by introducing their own models.
