Eden Games, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, has launched Cosmic Royale, a Web3 party royale kart racing game, in beta. Cosmic Royale is built as part of Animoca Brands' Motorverse, a global ecosystem of digital vehicle ownership, racing games, and motorsport culture.

Cosmic Royale features 40-player matches with multiple rounds of racing challenges and obstacles, culminating in a survival finale. The core gameplay revolves around the Cosmic Tournament, a head-to-head multiplayer event where players compete to be the last racer standing. The full launch in Q4 2024 will be free-to-play for all users on the Epic Games Store, without requiring NFT or token ownership. 

Beta participants with Moca IDs can earn Realm Points (RP) by playing the game, which can be used to earn MOCA Coin airdrops and participate in leaderboards with additional RP rewards. Moca NFT holders can also use their NFTs as personalized kart drivers and unlock special karts and parts.

Analyst QuickTake: Eden Games has also granted access to Moca ID holders from Animoca Brands’ Mocaverse, expanding its user base. The company has been focused on building metaverses apart from The Sandbox, having raised USD 20 million in September 2023 to launch the Mocaverse, and launching its native token (MOCA Coin) in April 2024 .
