NVIDIA acquires Brev.dev to enhance DGX Cloud service capabilities

M&A

  • NVIDIA has acquired Brev.dev, a startup that provides an AI and machine learning development platform for building, training, and deploying models on CPU- and GPU-based cloud instances.

  • The acquisition of Brev.dev is part of NVIDIA’s efforts to expand the capabilities of its DGX Cloud service, which provides enterprises with GPU-powered infrastructure, tools, and support for creating and running GenAI applications.

  • Brev.dev's platform serves as a single interface between cloud providers like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Fluidstack, allowing developers to find the most cost-effective GPU compute instances based on costs and availability.

  • Analyst QuickTake: NVIDIA has been focused on improving its DGX Cloud service; in April 2024 , it acquired AI infrastructure management company Run:ai. Run:ai’s products were incorporated into DGX Cloud to enhance AI deployments across its data center locations.
