SpaceX launches two Starlink missions consecutively

Product updates

  • SpaceX, a space travel and launch company, successfully launched two Starlink satellite missions aboard the Falcon 9 on July 28, 2024.

  • The first launch was from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, where 23 Starlink satellites were launched aboard the Falcon 9 rocket. This was followed by the second launch from California's Vandenberg Space Force Base which carried 21 Starlink satellites.

  • Analyst QuickTake: SpaceX's Starlink launches came after the Falcon 9 experienced upper-stage failure due to a liquid oxygen leak in July 2024 . This marked the rocket's second setback since its launch in June 2015. In the same month, investigations were undertaken collaboratively with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and SpaceX received approval to resume flights after the cause of the rocket's failure was determined.
