Axiom Space, an in-space infrastructure developer and provider of human spaceflight services, has signed a historic spaceflight agreement (SFA) with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to fly an Indian astronaut to the International Space Station (ISS) on the Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4).
The spaceflight agreement builds on the strategic collaboration with the US and India, supporting their progress in invention and innovation and advancing commercial space activities.
The Indian astronaut selected for the Ax-4 will focus on scientific research and educational outreach while in orbit. The astronaut will also be the first ISRO astronaut to reach the ISS.
