Axiom Space partners with ISRO to fly Indian astronaut to ISS

Partnerships

  • Axiom Space, an in-space infrastructure developer and provider of human spaceflight services, has signed a historic spaceflight agreement (SFA) with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to fly an Indian astronaut to the International Space Station (ISS) on the Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4).

  • The spaceflight agreement builds on the strategic collaboration with the US and India, supporting their progress in invention and innovation and advancing commercial space activities.

  • The Indian astronaut selected for the Ax-4 will focus on scientific research and educational outreach while in orbit. The astronaut will also be the first ISRO astronaut to reach the ISS.
