HTC reduces price of Vive XR Elite headset to USD 900 in US

Product updates

  • HTC has cut the price of its flagship standalone headset, Vive XR Elite, to USD 900 from USD 1,100 in the US market. The price reduction is not applicable in other major regions, where the headset continues to sell at its launch price.

  • The Vive XR Elite, released in February 2023, offers a compact, lightweight, standalone design with mixed reality capabilities. HTC is also running promotions for Vive XR Elite and Vive Ultimate Tracker bundles in the US until August 31, available on Vive.com.

  • In a recent video, HTC teased a new XR headset, promising something "coming soon." While details are unconfirmed, a reported leak suggests the new headset may be an iterative design on Vive Focus 3, potentially including features like built-in eye tracking and USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode.
