Curio, an on-chain Web3 game developer, has raised USD 5.7 million in a funding round co-led by Bain Capital Crypto and SevenX Ventures, with participation from OKX Ventures. This brings Curio's total capital raised to USD 8.6 million.
Simultaneously, the company launched Duper, a social strategy game. It is a five-player PvP game, where players attempt to outmaneuver each other and be the last player standing.
Some funds raised by the company will be used to support the development and growth of Duper.
AnalystQuickTake: The company previously raised USD 2.9 million in seed funding in February last year, with the funds primarily earmarked to develop new Web3-based games and to expand its development and design teams.
