Urban-Air Port (UAP), a company specializing in ground, air, and digital infrastructure for urban air mobility, has partnered with BAI Energy (BAI) to advance aviation infrastructure across Italy.
The partnership plans to redevelop a trio of unused aerodromes in Venice, Piedmont, and Trieste to support the release of next-generation vertiports, as its first phase.
The collaboration will provide BAI access to UAP technology and services, including design, planning, infrastructure supply, and the ability to leverage UAP's solutions to equip aerodromes with state-of-the-art facilities and systems. The partnership will also leverage UAP's expertise in navigating the complexities of integrating AAM infrastructure across Italy and developing robust operational and financial plans by utilizing UAP's business modeling tools to support investment and growth.
Furthermore, BAI and UAP are working on identifying potential network sites for passenger and cargo eVTOL flights for Phase 2 of the project, with support from Invest Italia and the UK Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office.
