Data development platform Encord raised USD 30 million in a Series B funding round led by Next47, with participation from Y Combinator, CRV, and Crane Venture Partners.
The funding will be used to double the size of Encord's product, engineering, and AI research teams over the next six months, expand its San Francisco offices, and grow the team to 100 employees by the end of the year.
Encord provides AI-driven software solutions for data annotation, model training, and management, focusing on improving the efficiency and accuracy of machine learning workflows. The company has 120 customers, including Philips, Synthesia, Cedars-Sinai, and Northwell Health.
