Ocean Power Technologies (OPT), a Nasdaq-listed company developing ocean wave energy, has signed four new reseller agreements to support global critical services.
The agreements include partnerships with allied nations in areas like the South China Sea, as well as previously announced efforts in Latin America and the Middle East. These partnerships will help OPT serve the demand for its autonomous maritime technologies.
Philipp Stratmann, CEO of OPT, stated that such partnerships will accelerate growth and drive additional revenue streams.
Analyst QuickTake : These agreements follow OPT signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with AltaSea at the Port of Los Angeles in July 2024 . The partnership aims to support developing and deploying OPT's renewable energy PowerBuoys and WAM-V unmanned surface vehicles in the Pacific Ocean, leveraging AltaSea's facilities at the Port of Los Angeles.
