LanzaTech partners with Jakson Green to provide 4G ethanol technology for NTPC

Partnerships

  • LanzaTech, a Nasdaq-listed next-generation carbon transformation company, has been awarded a contract by Jakson Green to supply its 4G ethanol technology to NTPC Limited, India's largest power generation utility company.

  • The project involves building India's first facility using LanzaTech's second-generation bioreactor to convert CO2 emissions and green H2 into ethanol. The plant, conceptualized by LanzaTech and NTPC's R&D arm NETRA, will be located in Central India and is expected to begin operations within two years.

  • The facility is projected to have an annual CO2 abatement capacity of 7,300 tons, equivalent to carbon sequestered by 8,523 acres of forest land annually.
