Ambercycle raises USD 10 million in venture funding to support construction of its first commercial facility

Funding

  • Ambercycle, a company that transforms textile waste into fresh materials, has secured USD 10 million in venture funding from Taiwan-based polyester manufacturer, Shinkong Synthetic Fibers Corporation.

  • The investment is intended to be used to support Amberycle’s first commercial facility, which is expected to commence operations in 2026, and to bolster the company’s production capacity for its product, Cycora, made from end-of-life textiles. The investment from Shinkong Synthetic Fibers builds on three years of collaboration between the companies.

  • Analyst QuickTake: In November 2023 , the company secured USD 5 million from DRIVE Catalyst, the investment arm of polyester manufacturer Far Eastern Group, to support the construction of its commercial facility.
