Svante Technologies raises USD 100 million in funding from Canada Growth Fund

Funding

  • Canadian carbon capture solutions provider Svante Technologies has secured USD 100 million via convertible notes from Canada Growth Fund Inc. (CGF). The investment will be made in two tranches, with an initial USD 50 million followed by a potential second tranche.

  • Proceeds from the first tranche will be used to fund commercial development and first-of-a-kind (FOAK) projects in Canada and the US. It will also support ongoing Canadian operations and enable the company to prioritize opportunities in its Canadian pipeline.

  • Svante is developing carbon capture and removal technology with the potential to accelerate emissions reductions in hard-to-abate sectors worldwide. The company recently invested USD 145 million in a new carbon capture and removal filter manufacturing facility under construction in Vancouver.
