ElevenLabs globally expands Reader app with 32 language options

Product updates

  • ElevenLabs, an advanced text-to-speech and voice API technology provider, has globally expanded its Reader app. The app was previously available only in the US, UK, and Canada.

  • The app, which allows users to convert text content into speech, now also supports 32 languages, including Portuguese, Spanish, French, Hindi, German, Japanese, Arabic, Korean, Italian, Tamil, and Swedish.

  • ElevenLabs claims that the extended language support is powered by its Turbo v2.5 model, which reportedly reduces the latency of text-to-speech conversion and improves quality. The company also plans to add more features to the app, including offline support and the ability to share audio snippets.
