Wiliot has introduced WiliBot, a GenAI chatbot that enables natural language conversations with ambient IoT-connected products in supply chains. The company is currently piloting WiliBot with key enterprise customers, with a broader rollout planned for late 2024 and into 2025.
WiliBot allows businesses to interact with their products and supply chains by asking questions about shelf life, product journey, stocking recommendations, safety, and carbon footprint. It works with Wiliot's Ambient Data Platform, which uses stamp-sized, self-powered IoT Pixels affixed to products and packaging to communicate information, such as location, temperature, humidity, and carbon footprint, to the Wiliot cloud.
According to Wiliot, combining ambient IoT and GenAI technologies will provide businesses with unprecedented intelligence about their products. In the future, the company plans to make this technology available to consumers through mobile apps, enabling them to converse with products to understand various aspects such as carbon footprint, materials composition, ethical sourcing compliance, quality, and safety.
Analyst QuickTake: GenAI chatbots are now commonly adopted by Supply chain tech startups to enhance their service offerings. Recently, companies such as KetteQ , RELEX Solutions , Surgere , Avetta, and Prevalent have also introduced these features, facilitating more efficient operations throughout supply chains.
