Oxa, a self-driving vehicle software provider, has launched its third US commercial deployment of “Oxa Driver,” its self-driving software. This was deployed in collaboration with autonomous shuttle operator Beep in Rossmoor Walnut Creek senior community for Beep's client, Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA).
Named “PRESTO,” the autonomous shuttle service offers transportation for up to seven passengers with a safety driver on board.
Oxa's MetaDriver product utilizes AI and virtual simulation to enhance safety and accelerate testing of the autonomous system before and during real-world use.
Analyst QuickTake: This deployment continues Oxa's expansion in the US, with previous deployments at Lake Nona in Orlando and Florida State College in Jacksonville.
