Milkadamia introduces flat-pack oat milk to US market

Product updates

  • Milkadamia, a plant-based milk company, is set to launch Flat Pack Organic Oat Milk in the US market. The product will be officially introduced at the Newtopia Now trade show in Denver, Colorado, with retail distribution expected to begin in January 2025.

  • The Flat Pack Organic Oat Milk uses a proprietary 2D-printing process that transforms oat milk paste into ultra-light sheets. Each pack contains eight sheets that make half a gallon of oat milk. Consumers can prepare fresh oat milk by blending the sheets with water for 30 seconds or soaking them overnight.

  • According to Milkadamia, the flat-pack design reduces packaging waste by 94% and decreases product weight by 85%. The company claims this approach aligns with its commitment to sustainability and responsible eco-stewardship by cutting packaging waste and carbon emissions.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Veganz , a German plant-based dairy company, offers a similar product. Known as Milik, this 2D-printed milk alternative has already been launched in the German market and is available in over 5,000 retail outlets.
