Bitsight has unveiled new asset mapping capabilities to help organizations better manage vulnerabilities across their extended attack surface. Originally launched for AWS, the company's Cloud Infrastructure Sync (CloudSync) feature has been redesigned and extended to include Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
The enhanced CloudSync feature non-intrusively synchronizes customers' public IP addresses from their cloud service providers, allowing more accurate mapping between cloud provider IP addresses and the entities using them. This update addresses the challenges of identifying risks within cloud environments and prioritizing exposure data at scale.
Bitsight has also introduced new AI models within its Graph of Internet Assets (GIA) technology. These models map discovered assets to specific entities, which are then prioritized and hand-curated by Bitsight's research team. The company claims this ensures their AI is trained on verified data, delivering high levels of accuracy and enhancing the breadth of asset discovery.
Analyst QuickTake: Bitsight continues to add new features to its product suite to enhance capabilities for cyber risk management. In July, the company launched the Trust Management Hub to improve the security assessment process. Before this, in February 2024, it also launched a solution for managing third-party risk, which aimed to protect the digital supply chain by merging vendor risk management and continuous monitoring.
