DAF Trucks to commence series production of new electric models

Product updates

  • DAF Trucks, a European truck manufacturer, has announced plans to commence the series production of its new electric truck models. The latest generation of DAF electric trucks is based on DAF Trucks' zero-emission XD and XF models.

  • The new electric trucks are equipped with engines of up to 350 kW (480 hp) and use LFP (Lithium Ferro Phosphate) batteries, offering a range of battery configurations. DAF claims that the new electric models can travel almost 500 km (310.7 mi) on a single charge, potentially reaching 1,000 km (621.4 mi) daily with an additional charge.

  • The company has carried out road testing for these truck models in partnership with several Dutch transport companies, including Oegema Transport and Cornelissen Transport.
