Samsung partners with Qualcomm to support in-vehicle infotainment and ADAS

Partnerships

  • Samsung Electronics partnered with automotive tech company Qualcomm to provide automotive LPDDR4X memory for Qualcomm's "Snapdragon Digital Chassis," a set of cloud-connected vehicle platforms for telematics, digital cockpit solutions, driver assistance, and autonomy features.

  • The partnership aims to support premium in-vehicle infotainment and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). Samsung's automotive LPDDR4X memory has successfully passed qualification for use with Qualcomm's Snapdragon Digital Chassis, ensuring long-term supply chain stability and enhanced support for ecosystem partners.

  • Samsung is also developing next-generation automotive LPDDR5 memory, with samples expected to be available in Q4 2024. The LPDDR5 product will support speeds up to 9.6 Gbps, including in extreme temperatures, making it the fastest option in the automotive memory market.
