Cloudbreak Health, a leader in video remote interpretation services for healthcare, has acquired Voyce, a tech-enabled language services provider, for an undisclosed sum. This merger brings together two of healthcare's largest language access companies. Following this move, Cloudbreak Health has rebranded itself as "Equiti."
The acquisition aims to expand interpreter resources, leading to faster connection times and broader language coverage. This is expected to enhance the experience for providers and patients and improve patient outcomes. Following the acquisition, Cloudbreak's Martti and Voyce will continue to operate and innovate under the Equiti umbrella.
Analyst QuickTake: In November 2020 , Cloudbreak and digital healthcare provider UpHealth Holdings entered two separate definitive business combination agreements with special purpose acquisition company GigCapital2 to form a combined entity that will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the new ticker symbol “UPH." Following this, in March 2024 , Cloudbreak Health was sold by its parent company, UpHealth Holdings, to private equity firm GTCR for USD 180 million in a cash transaction. After these transitions, Cloudbreak appears to have finally settled its operations under the Equiti umbrella.
