Broadcom, a technology company, has expanded its VMware vDefend portfolio, formerly known as VMware NSX Security Solutions, with new GenAI capabilities and extended software-defined edge computing offerings.
The updated VMware vDefend now includes Project Cypress, a GenAI co-pilot, along with new analytics tools for malware and firewall issue identification, and enhanced intrusion detection and prevention capabilities. The portfolio can now collect sensor data from the VMware hypervisor and import existing security configurations into VMware Cloud Foundation 9.
