Google has partnered with Salcit Technologies, an Indian respiratory healthcare AI startup, to develop AI-based disease detection technology.
The partnership aims to incorporate Google's AI model, Health Acoustic Representations (HeAR), which is trained on 300 million audio samples of coughs, sniffles, and labored breathing, into smartphones. This technology is designed to identify early signs of diseases like tuberculosis, potentially benefiting high-risk populations in areas with limited healthcare access.
